The World Record ‘most pits dug through public participation’ has been achieved by CEO Zila Panchayat from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India.

On Jul 17, 2022; Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Seven (270477) pits have been dug through public participation for afforestation purpose.

Mr. Swapnil Wankhade (CEO, Zila Panchayat, Rewa) convened the initiative.

Previous World Record:

The World Record of ‘most pits dug through public participation’ has been achieved by CEO Zila Panchayat from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India. On May 28, 2017; Two Hundred Forty Five Thousand Six Hundred Forty Three (245643) pits has been dug in six hours through public participation for afforestation purpose.
