Longest Stay Underwater

The World Record of ‘longest stay under water’ has been achieved by Mr. Fabien Cousteau from Florida Keys, USA.

On July 3, 2014; Mr. Cousteau completed the “Mission 31”. He stayed under water for Thirty One (31) days. Record was attempted at the coastal Florida International University facility that operates the big size Aquarius Reef Base undersea research laboratory; located 20 meters (65 feet) below the surface.

Previous World Record:

The World Record of ‘longest stay under water’ was achieved by Mr. Jacques Cousteau from France. Mr. Jacques spent Thirty (30) days under the Red Sea in early 1960s.
