The World Record of ‘largest beaver dam’ in the world has been achieved by the beavers of northern Alberta Canada.
The total length of this massive natural structure is 850 meters (2,800 feet). The record breaking beaver dam is located in a very inaccessible and remote area of the forests of northern Alberta on the southern edge of the Wood Buffalo National Park Scientists believe on study that the dam structure would have started building in the mid 1970s. Many generations of beavers might have taken part in making this dam.
