The World Record of ‘largest audience at a book reading (single author)’ has been achieved by General Command of Gendarmerie Ministry of Interior at Ankara, Turkey.

On May 18, 2017; Five Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Four (5754) people listened to the book Ayyildiz Ruhu authored by Ömer Gürdal.

Previous World Record:

The World Record of ‘largest audience at a book reading (single author)’ was achieved by Stefan Gemmel from Koblenz, Germany. On Jun 12, 2012; Five Thousand Four Hundred Six (5406) people listened to the book Alasgus, authored by Gemmel in an event organised by Leseratten service at Festung Ehrenbreitstein. The audiences were pupil from various schools of federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz. The purpose of World Record was to promote literacy and reading skills.
