The World Record of greatest pricey poster has been achieved by poster for Metropolis from Germany.

On November 15, 2005; the original poster of a science-fiction film Metropolis (Germany 1927) by Fritz Lang (Austria) was sold by the Reel Poster Gallery in London, UK to a US collector for $690,000. The poster was designed by Mr. Heinz Schulz-Neudamm.
