The World Record of being the ‘fastest person to run a mile in a bomb-suit’ has been achieved by Owen Duff from McChord Air Force Base, Washington, USA.
Air Force Staff Sergeant Owen Duff, Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician of McChord Air Force Base, Washington at the Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq on March 26th, 2010 performed this endurance. The total time taken by Mr. Owen Duff to run the distance of one mile (1.61 km) was 9 minutes and 22 seconds. The event was organized to raise charity funds and the proceeds were sent in support to the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation and the EOD memorial.

The World Record of ‘fastest person to run a mile in a bomb-suit’ has been achieved by Navy Lt. Jonathan Kehoe commander, Platoon 602, 63rd Battalion, EOD Mobilization Unit 6, of Little Creek, Va., and attached to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. Mr. Jonathan Kethoe achieved the above mentioned feet at Camp Echo, Iraq. He completed the total run of one mile in 10 minutes and 13 seconds.
