The World Record of ‘fastest and steepest wooden roller coaster’ has been achieved by Six Flags Great America: Goliath from Gurnee, Illinois, USA

On this wooden coaster after plunging from a height of 180 feet down a nearly vertical 85 degree drop riders can reach speeds of 72 mph. The coaster also features three over-banked turns, a 180-degree zero-G roll twist, two wild inversions and a spiralling inverted zero-G stall.
