World Record of ‘tallest tower’ has been achieved by The Tokyo Skytree from Japan.
Tokyo Skytree is 634.0 metres (2,080 ft) tall and broadcasting, restaurant, and observation tower. One of its main purposes is to relay television and radio broadcast signals. Led by Tobu Railway and a group of six terrestrial broadcasters headed by NHK, the tower project forms the centrepiece of a large commercial development equidistant from Tokyo Skytree and Oshiage train stations, 7 km (4.3 mi) north-east of Tokyo station.
The World Record of ‘unique portrait mosaic of tiny photographs’ has been achieved by Ms. Anna Halm Schudel from Greece.
Anna Halm Schudel made unique mosaic portraits from One Thousand (1000) tiny photographs of the various celebrities. She usually works with just a section of each image, making sure the formats and tones match the general line of the portrait she envisioned. Each of the small photos used as mosaic pieces measures just one square centimeter and only become visible when the viewer approaches to take a closer look at the work of art.
The world record of creating ‘largest steel sculpture’ has been achieved by Mr. Subodh Gupta from Delhi, India.
Largest Steel Sculpture has been made up of utensils. The sculpture was displayed in South Court Mall, Delhi. It measured 36 X 36 ft and weighs 20 tonne. It is made of stainless steel kitchen utensils and culinary equipment like plates, bowls, ladles, spoons, Tiffin boxes, sieves and saucers. The sculpture a public art installation is shaped like a giant mushroom cloud with a base, symbolizing the troubled borders and times we live in and also redemption.
The World Record of ‘first creepy portrait’ has been achieved by Marc Quinn from USA.
Quinn has created creepy self-portrait with his own frozen blood. Quinn used between four and five liters of his own blood for each of his four portraits, extracted over a period of five months. After creating a detailed mold of his face, he froze the blood to create his creepy portraits. They are maintained in refrigeration units at a constant temperature of -15 degrees Celsius, to prevent them from melting.
The World Record of ‘biggest paper plane’ has been achieved by Pima Air & Space Museum from Arizona, USA.
The world’s biggest paper airplane was launched in the Arizona desert just south of Tucson with the name ‘Desert Eagle’ named after a 12-year-old-boy who inspired the design. The plane is made of layers of falcon board. The Forty Five (45) feet flier was taken by helicopter to an altitude of 2700 feet before being released into the sky. The plane flew for about ten seconds to reach speed of up to 100 mph (161 km/hr). The plane was built by the Pima Air & Space Museum to motivate kids to for taking interest in Aeronautics, Maths, and Physics.
World Record of creating ‘portrait with lipsticks’ has been achieved by Amer Shomali from Palestine.
Artist Amer made portrait of beautiful Leila Khaled, a woman revolutionary who became famous as “the poster girl of Palestinian militancy” after hijacking a plane, in 1969. He created a unique portrait made of 3,500 lipsticks for an art exhibition at Birzeit University. Amer Shomali created a sort of canvas out of lipstick holders and then arranged 3,500 lipsticks of 14 different colors.
