The world record of the ‘longest bridge in the world’ has been achieved by Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge from Jiangsu, China.
The total length of the bridge is 164.8 kilometers (102.4 mi) and lies on the long viaduct on the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway line. Almost the entire length of the Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge is of the viaduct style of construction. The bridge is located on the rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu province. The total cost of building the bridge was $ 8.5 billion and was completed in 2011.
The World Record of ‘largest solar plant’ has been achieved by Shams from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The world’s largest solar plant has been established near Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. One facility and has area of about 2.5 square kilometers. This solar plant is a joint venture of the organization Masdar, a French oil firm Total, Abengoa Solar and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. The facility expands over an area which can cover 285 football fields and can satisfy the energy requirements of more than 20,000 households. It can produce Hundred Megawatts of Electricity when fully functional. The total cost for the project is $60 million.
The World Record of traveling world’s longest paramotoring journey has been achieved by Mr. Benjamin Jordan from Canada.
Mr. Jordan has travelled a flight of 8,008 km (4,975.93 miles). Mr. Jordan had travelled from Tofino (British Columbia) to Bay St. Lawrence (Nova Scotia) in about 70 days.
The world record of the ‘largest silver ring’ has been achieved by Amin and Company from Lahore, Pakistan.
The silver ring weighs 71.680 kg (158.03 lbs) and has an inner diameter of 85 cm (2 ft 9 in). The purity of the silver used in making the ring is reported to be 97.83 percent. The silver which was used to make the ring was worth a value of $ 40,000 at the time of making the ring. Ring was exhibited in a ceremony on August 18, 2010.
The World Record of collecting ‘currency with unique denominations’ has been achieved by Mr. Sushil Goyal from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India.
Mr. Goyal has the collection of One Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen (1318) Indian currency notes with unique digits denominating from 000001 to 1000000.
The World Record of ‘most knife tapping sets between fingers with-in a minute while blindfolded’ has been achieved by Ryan Stock from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Ryan completed Nineteen (19) sets of knife tapping between his fingers in 30 seconds while blindfolded on April 6, 2012.
