The World Record of ‘longest survival without a heart’ has been achieved by D’Zhana Simmons (14 years) from South Carolina, USA.
D’Zhana suffered from dilated cardiomyopathy, which meant that her heart was weakened and her blood was not being pumped efficiently. Doctors fitted two pumps to keep her blood flowing while she recovered before surgery. It was almost four months later another transplant was carried out. In total, she had lived without a heart for 118 days. This is the longest duration a pediatric patient has been kept alive without any heart at all.
The World record of ‘tallest fountain’ has been achieved by King Fahd’s Fountain from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
It is also known as the Jeddah Fountain. The fountain jets water to a maximum height of 1,024 feet (312 m) above the Red Sea. The fountain is visible throughout the entire vicinity of Jeddah. The water it ejects can reach a speed of 375 kilometers (233 mi) per hour and its airborne mass can exceed 18 short tons (16,000 kg). It uses over 500 spotlights to illuminate the fountain at night.
The world record of ‘fastest roller coaster’ has been achieved by Formula Rossa from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It is located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. It is manufactured by Intamin. Formula Rossa is the world’s fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph). The coaster train accelerates to its top speed in approximately 5 seconds using a hydraulic launch system which generates a release velocity similar to that of steam catapults on an aircraft carrier.
The World Record of ‘most people dressed as Maharana Pratap’ has been jointly achieved by Kshatriya Rajput Kalamkar Patrakar Sanghthan, Maharana Pratap Rajput Mandal Sirpur and Rajput Shakti Sanghtan from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
