Longest Single-Strand Pearl Nechlace

World Record of ‘longest single-strand pearl necklace’ has been achieved by Shimashi Kanko Kyokai from Mie, Japan.

At the 60th Pearl Festa in Kashikojima, Shima, Mie, Japan; pearl necklace measuring the length of 222 meter (728 ft 4 in) with weigh of about 20 kg, comprising of 27,750 pieces of 8 mm pearls was displayed on 22 October 2010.

Previous world Record:

World Record of longest single-strand pearl necklace was achieved by Japanese jewelers from Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture. This necklace measured 187 meters.

Biggest Live Music Concert

The World Record for the Biggest ‘live music concert’ was achieved by British artist Rod Stewart at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This record was made at the Coca cabana beach in on New Year’s Night. The live music concert was televised by the MTV network. The live concert was attended by 3,500,000 (Three Million Five Hundred Thousand) people.

World Record of Biggest Ring has been achieved by The ‘Najmat Taiba’ manufactured by Taiba for Gold and Jewellery Company Ltd Saudi Arabia.

The world’s largest gold ring has 2,200 mm perimeter, 700 mm outer perimeter, 490 mm inside diameter, 500 mm back width and 250 mm width of the ring bottom. It is studded with 615 pieces of Swarovski stones. The 21-carat ring weighs 63.856 kg (around 141 pounds).

The World Record of the ‘largest sea vessel’ in the world has been achieved by the container ship Eugen Mærsk of Maersk Line from Denmark.

Maersk Line is the container division of A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, Denmark. It is the lead ship of a fleet of eight ships of the Mærsk E-class container ships. The newest of this ship series was launched in 2013. The total length of this ship is 399 meters (1,309 ft) in and a cargo capacity of 18,270 TEU containers. The length of the beam of the above mentioned ship is 183 feet (56 m) and the dead-weight tonnage is 156,907. The ship has a maximum speed of 23 knots and the total crew in routine operations is 19.

World’s Tallest Cooling Tower

The world record of ‘tallest cooling tower’ has been achieved by Kalisindh Thermal Energy Plant from Rajasthan, India.

At Kalisindh Thermal Energy Plant in Rajasthan, India there are two towers in the plant and have a height of 202 meters each. The base diameter of the cooling towers is One Hundred Fourt Two (142) meters. The project has been funded by the Government of the State of Rajasthan, India. BGR Energy Systems is the builder of the project. The plant is supposed to produce 1200 MW electricity.

Longest Hug By A Pair

The World Record of ‘longest hug by a pair’ has been achieved by Ron O’Neil and Theresa Kerr from Ontario, Canada.

On 13th June 2010; in an event at Centennial Park in Ontario to generate funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) this record was attempted. The total duration of the act of hugging each other was a continuous 24 hours, 33 minutes. Both Ron and Theresa are diabetes prevention and cure activists and are working hard to raise funds for research and treatment of this disease.
