The World Record of ‘largest knitting needles’ has been achieved by Ms. Jim Bolin from Casey, Illinois, USA .

On May 20, 2013; Jim Bolin, Vice President of Bolin Enterprises Inc., designed a pair of giant wooden knitting needles and a crochet hook for The Yarn Studio, Casey. Bolin’s giant wooden knitting needles measured in at 13 feet, 0.75 inches (3.98 m) long and 3.25 inches (8.25 cm) in diameter, setting the world record for the largest knitting needles. Each needle weighed 11.34 kg (25 lb).

Previous World Record:

The World Record of ‘largest knitting needles’ was achieved by Ingrid Wagner from the United Kingdom. These knitting needles are 11 feet, 5.8 inches long and 3.15 inches in diameter. Ingrid used these knitting needles to knit a 10-by-10-foot tension square at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle upon Tyne on March 10, 2008.

The World Record of ‘longest row of dust-bins’ has been achieved by Nagar Parishad from Rajgarh, Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, India.

On September 05, 2014; under the leadership of Ms. Madhulika Suresh Tanted, Nagar Parishad Rajgarh made a row of Three Thousand Five Hundred (3500) dust-bins to promote ‘Hygienic, Healthy and Heavenly Rajgarh’

Event was coordinated by Mr. Mukesh Kavadya.

The World Record ‘longest underwater tube tunnel’ of the world has been achieved by The Øresund Bridge from Denmark and Sweden.

The Øresund Bridge connects Amager and Oresund in the island Zealand of Denmark with Skane, Sweden. It has world’s longest underwater tube tunnel which measure 4 kilometer.

Largest Mewari Turban

The World Record of making ‘largest Mewari turban’ has been achieved by Mr. Daulat Sen from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.

On March 29, 2014; Mr. Sen made the largest Mewari turban with 3000 meter long cloth. Turban measured 8 ft. 5 in. diameter and 2 ft. 1 in. height.

Bridges with Longest Cable-Stayed Main Span

The World Record ‘bridge with longest cable-stayed main span’ has been achieved by The Oresund Bridge from Denmark and Sweden.

The high bridge part of the Oresund Bridge has the longest cable-stayed main span of all bridges in the world. The Oresund Bridge connects Amager and Oresund in the island Zealand of Denmark with Skane, Sweden. This bridge and tunnel goes under water to allow movement of ships. In order for ships to pass, this bridge is half under the water. One can drive down in the water and then come out on the other side.

The World Record of ‘steepest roller coaster’ has been achieved by ‘Takabisha’ of Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park from Yamanash, Japan.

Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park has the world’s steepest roller coaster ‘Takabisha’; with One Hundred Twenty One (121) degree incline and speeds of 100 kilometres per hour. It is packed with jaw-dropping features including seven twists, blackened tunnels and a 43 metre high peak.
