The World Record of ‘world’s highest civilian airport’ has been achieved by Daocheng Yading airport of China.
Daocheng Yading is the world’s highest civilian airport; located at 4411 meter (14472 feet) above sea level. It has a 4200-meter-long runway, 8796-square-meter terminal and four aircraft parking stands. The airport has been opened on Sept 16, 2013. The first flight was Air China flight 4215 from the provincial capital Chengdu.
The World Record of being ‘Oldest Hotel’ has been achieved by Hōshi Ryokan from Komatsu, Japan.
Hōshi is the world’s oldest hotel and is owned and run by the same family for 46 generations so far.Its famous hot springs have been refreshing and revitalizing its patrons for no less than 1291 years. Founded by a Buddhist disciple; Hōshi is not only world’s oldest hotel but also the world’s oldest continuously-operating business.
The World Record of delivering ‘most number of speeches in 24 hours’ has been achieved by Ralph Nader from USA.
Mr. Nader had delivered Twenty One (21) speeches in 24 hours during Massachusetts Marathon on October 25, 2008.
The World Record of ‘Authoring Most Number of Published Books’ has been achieved by a noted Jain Saint Acharya Vijay Ratnasunder Suri ji from Mumbai, India.
On Sept 01, 2013; Acharya Vijay Ratnasunder Suri ji released his 275th Book in a ceremony at Raipur. Books authored by Acharya have been translated in to various languages including French, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada, Sindhi, Marathi, Bengali etc. and till date more than 4 million books have been distributed.
The World Record of being world’s richest woman has been achieved by Liliane Bettencourt from Paris, France.
Mrs Bettencourt is the principal share holder of L’Oréal; one of the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty companies. Bettencourt owned around 31% of the outstanding shares of L’Oréal.
