Youngest Inventor and Social Entrepreneur

The World record of “the youngest inventor and social Entrepreneur” has been achieved by Susant Pattnaik from Odisha, India.

His work has been selected and published at a young age of 17 years by MIT Technology Review in TR-35 category, Boston, USA, 2010 for the invention Susant’s Breathing Sensor Apparatus.

He has been awarded by many prestigious awards like INK- Fellow 2010 as Inventor, Intel IRIS- 2010 Awardee and Intel IRIS Best Popular Invention- 2010 Awardee, NASA Awardee- 2011, DLF- Pramerica Spirit Of Community Awardee- 2011, Displayed at Rastrapati Bhavan in presence of the President Of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patel, 2010 by NIF, IGNITE 09 (National Innovation Foundation) Awardee and received award as the first prize by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam- 2009,Also IGNITE 08 (NIF) Awardee for other invention Accident Proof Technology, KVPY Fellow- 2009 through SP- Basic Sciences, Armaan Fellow- 2011 (for empowering disabled people), NCSC- Awardee- 2009, 35th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science (NCERT) Awardee- 2008, CBSE National Science Awardee- 2008, Recognized by Institute Of Physics, Orissa, 2008 etc. He has also started a social enterprise which is working for the welfare of physically challenged people.

The Most Number of Needles Threaded in a Minute

The World Record of the ‘most number of needles threaded in a minute’ has been achieved by Robin Giovanni from Venice, Italy.

She threaded 11 needles in one minute in a competition held in Venice on March 22, 2012. The threads which she used were silk threads and the needle had a hole of 0.5 mm width. Being a boutique artist has always helped Robin thread needles at a very high pace.

The Most Number of Words Typed in a Minute

The World Record of ‘most number of words typed in a minute (Roman)’ has been achieved by Ms. Barbara Blackburn from London, England.

She clocked Two Hundred Twelve (212) words per minute in an academic session in London on April 24, 2012. She has maintained 150 words per minute for 50 minutes, and 170 words per minute for shorter periods. She has been clocked at a peak speed of 212 words per minute.

Number of Brick’s Broken in a Minute

The World Record of the ‘most number of bricks broken in a minute’ has been achieved by Josh Tavarez from Prague, Czech Republic.

He broke a record Twenty Seven (27) bricks in one minute at a community centre festival at Prague on December 31, 2011. Being a black-belt; Tavarez has been practicing breaking bricks with one hand since the age of 17.

Longest Stay on Nail Bed

The world record of ‘longest stay on nail bed’ has been achieved by Sumit Singh from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Sumit from IPS Academy, Indore lied on a bed of nails for 1 hour 13 minutes. While laying on nail bed he kept the weight of 250 kg on his body as well. The World Record was made on January 17, 2012 at Rajendra Nagar. The nails bed was 8 feet long and was made of a wooden board with 7,500 nails of 4 inches each inserted into it.
