The World Record ‘largest research library’ has been achieved by New York Public Library from Manhattan, USA.

The New York Public Library consists of 4 research centres and 85 branch libraries in Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx. Established in 1895; the NYPL’s collection has grown to more than 52 million items and serves millions of users. It is the largest research library with a circulating system in the world.

Most People Singing National Anthems of Nations in a Relay

The World Record ‘most people singing national anthems of nations in a relay’ has been achieved by St. Xavier Senior Secondary School from Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, India.

On November 28, 2014; under the guidance of school principal Ms. Neeta Netam, students sung the national anthems of 176 (One Hundred Seventy Six) nations in a relay.

World Record was organized by Ideal Student’s Club of India: an Educational revolution division of ‘Ideal Chhattisgarh’ headed by Mr. Naval Kishore Rathi.

Largest Hand Of Man

The world record of ‘largest hand of Man’ has been achieved by Mr. Liu Hua from Jiangsu, China.

Lui Hua’s left thumb measured 10.2 inches and his index finger measured close to 12 inches. His left thumb was 26 cm (10.5 inch) long; his index finger was 30 cm (12 inch) long and his middle one 15 cm (6 inch) long. The overall weight of his left arm was 10 kg (22 pounds).

Lui Hua a Chinese man who suffers from a rare condition known as macrodactyly. Surgeons undertook a seven-hour operation to reduce the size of Liu’s fingers and thumb. Doctors removed 11 pounds of flesh and bone in the procedure.
