The World Record of ‘fastest car’ in the world has been achieved by Hennessey Venom.
The Venom GT is the fastest car in the world when tested again on February 14, 2014 at NASA runway in Florida. The track was only 3.22 miles long, thus limiting it top speed to 270 mph. Hennessey Venom GT: 270 mph (435 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, has a 7.0 liter LS7 Turbocharged V8 Twin Turbo V8 Engine producing 1244 hp.
The World Record of ‘highest altitude free fall jump with a drogue parachute’ has been achieved by Mr. Alan Eustace from USA
On October 24, 2014, Eustace made a jump from the stratosphere. The launch-point for his jump was from an abandoned runway in Roswell, New Mexico. He reached a reported maximum altitude 135,889.108 ft, 25.736573 miles (41.419000 km). His descent to Earth lasted 15 minutes and stretched nearly 26 miles (42 km) with peak speeds exceeding 821.45 miles (1,322.00 km) per hour and total free fall distance (123,334 ft=37,617 m).
