The World Record of ‘largest umbrella mosaic’ has been achieved by National Federation of the Blind from Orlando, Florida, USA.
During celebration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB); Two Thousand Four Hundred Eighty (2480) members and supporters of the NFB simultaneously raised umbrellas to create the depiction of the icon and the tagline of NFB.
The World Record of ‘most people singing carol’ has been achieved by Godswill Akpabio unity choir from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria.
On December 13, 2014; at the Uyo Township Stadium, Twenty Five Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Two (25272) choirs sang a medley of Carols ‘The first Noel’, ‘Joy to the World’, ‘O Christmas Tree’, ‘Hark the Herald sing’, ‘Once in royal Davids city’ and ‘O come all ye faithful’.
The World Record of ‘largest sculpture of buttons and bronze thimble’ has been achieved by Spadina Avenue from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
At the corner of Richmond and Spadina sits the sculpture made of two buttons and a bronze thimble fit for a giant. It has been made by artist Stephen Cruise. The sculpture is homage to the area’s history as part of the garment industry.
During the event of HOFEX 2015; Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Eight (8888) cups of coffee were arranged to create the largest coffee mosaic, depicting the logo of UNICEF along with the hotel’s and the HOFEX event’s name.
