The World Record of ‘largest wood crafted sentence display’ has been achieved by District Jail from Kanker, Chhattisgarh, India.
On Jan 18, 2018; under the guidance of Kanker Jail superintendent, Mr. Satish Chand Bhargav; group of prisoners crafted the woods into One Hundred Seventy Three (173) letters each 12 x 9’’ size and displayed the wood crafted sentence. The sentence displayed by wood craftwork was Indian national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
The World Record of ‘oldest serving ceremonial parade commander’ has been achieved by Mr. Raghubir Singh Kalra (60 years 07 days) from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India.
On Aug 15, 2015; DSP Kalra commanded the Indian independence parade held at Pandit Ravishankar Shukla Stadium, Jabalpur.
The World Record of ‘most pupils appearing in exam simultaneously at single centre’ has been achieved by Vishnu Waman Thakur Charitable Trust Utkarsh Junior College from Virar, Maharashtra, India.
On Feb 28, 2017; Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Six (6426) pupils of XII standard simultaneously appeared in the exam of subject: English at single centre no. M2321.
The World Record of ‘oldest abseiler’ has been achieved by Ms. Doris Long (101 years) at Portsmouth, UK.
In 2015; Ms. Doris aka Daring Doris descended 94 meters down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth at the age of One Hundred One (101) years. Her trip down the tower was in aid of the Rowan’s Hospice in Waterlooville. Doris started abseiling at the age of 85, this feat marked her 16th abseil for the organization.
