The World Record of ‘most games of chess simultaneously played by an individual’ has been achieved by Mr. Ehsan Ghaem Maghami from Tehran, Iran.

During Feb 08- 09, 2011; Chess Grand Master Maghami played against Four Hundred Sixty Nine (469) opponents simultaneously and won 97.35 percent of his total matches. All opponents were possessing qualifying criteria of Elo rating.
