The World Record of ‘first to walk from sea level and climb up to the top of Mt. Everest’ has been jointly achieved by Mr. Tim Macartney-Snape and Mr. Greg Mortimer from Australia.
Macartney-Snape and Greg Mortimer started at sea level from the Bay of Bengal and walked the 1000 km to the foot of Everest before beginning the climbing and truly claimed to conquer the Everest’s 8874 metres height. They reached the summit, climbing without supplementary, via a new route on the North Face to Norton Couloir.
