The World Record “most soak pits dug simultaneously for rainwater harvesting” has been achieved by Zila Panchayat from Durg, Chhattisgarh, India.

On Jun 13, 2025; One Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Four (1764) soak pits have been dug simultaneously at the houses of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana beneficiaries.

Mr. Bajarang Dubey led the ‘Mor Gaon Mor Pani’ campaign in the district to promote water conservation.
