Biggest Clock

The World Record ‘biggest clock’ has been achieved by Abraj Al-Bait Towers from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The massive 1983 foot Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower also known as the The Abraj Al-Bait Towers sporting four timekeeping faces each 151 feet (43 meter) in diameter. The clock don text reading “in the Name of Allah” running beneath the clock faces in the local script as well as 21,000 green and white lights that flash five times daily which can be spotted from more than 18 miles away.

These towers are a part of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project that strives to modernize the city in catering to its pilgrims. The developer and contractor of the complex is the Saudi Binladin Group, the Kingdom’s largest construction company.
