Largest Building by Floor – Space

The World Record of ‘largest building in the world by floor-space’ has been achieved by The New Century Global Center from Chengdu, China.

The building is 100 meters (328 feet high), 500 meters (1640 feet) high and 400 meters (1312 feet) long. The total area of this building is 1.76 million square meters. The building was open on July 4, 2013. The building also has the distinction of the world’s tallest sandstone structure.

Previous World Record:

The World Record for the ‘largest building in the world by floor-space’ was achieved by the Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, Dubai. The total floor-space area of the building is 1.713 million square meters.
