The World Record ‘longest surviving kidney transplant recipient’ has been achieved by Kishna Ram Sharma (68 years) from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, India.
On Dec 07, 2021; Mr. Sharma is reported to live healthy life for Forty Four years Five months Twenty Eight days (44Y:05M:28D) after receiving a kidney from elder brother Om Prakash Sharma.
After renal failure diagnosed by Dr. Paras Jain, on Jun 10, 1977; Prof. A P Pandey & Dr. J C M Shastry transplanted the kidney at CMC Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
