Largest Structure of Aluminium Cans

The World Record for the ‘largest structure made out of aluminum cans’ has been achieved by the Toyohashi Junior Chamber at Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

On September 21, 2013; the structure was made in the shape of the castle and One Hundred Four Thousand Eight Hundred Forty (104,840) aluminum cans were used to create it. The dimensions of the aluminum can castle were 6.6 meters wide, 5.5. meters long and 5 meters high. The cans were glued together to each other by using an adhesive agent. The artwork was made based on the theme of Yoshida Castle which got destroyed before World War-I and was reconstructed after World War-II.

Previous world Record:

The World Record for the largest aluminum structure in the world was achieved by the Saudi Industrial Projects Company (SIPCO) and Bugshan of Saudi Arabia on May 27, 2013. The location of the structure was the Mall of Arabia in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The structure was made in the form of a large can of Pepsi by using (Sixty six Thousand Four Hundred) 66,400 regular cans.
